I have a William Maldree Atkinson who died in Fort Morgan in Oct of 1854, 2 months after it's fall into Federal Hands. I know there is/was a hospital there, used by both sides, but have been unable to locate any records to substantiate that my ancestor was there. He may not have been in the hospital, that is just my suspicion, given that he was a Confederate soldier from GA, and I know that GA troops fought there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
