Canney/Canny, Company D, 111 Infantry, NY
Thanks Kevin. What a wonderful idea. You helped me when I first found out my great great great grandfather Canney/Canny who was born in Ireland and had 3 daughters and a wife fought in the 111 NY Infantry Co. D until he was captured and sent to Andersonville. He was eventually paroled in poor health and made it to Annapolis, MD where he died in the military hospital there and is buried in Annapolis National Cemetery a 1/2 hour from my home!
