Yes, it does have a date unfortunately I no longer have that information. I live in VA and there is no family left in the town (Central Square, NY) where his tombstone is to check for me. However I will be returning to live up there in a couple months (in Elmira, NY - can you believe it!) and will visit the cemetary and compare what the tombstone says and what info I've found.
Checking the cemetary records online he is not listed nor any of the family although there are several generations buried there. I used to go up with my grandparents to put flowers on the graves so I do know where the graves are.
