I am researching a Sergeant David Boaz that is listed as being in the 7th Kentucky Infantry, Company M. He was mortally wounded at Stones River and died in Nashville on January 23, 1864. However, everywhere that I have looked for info on the unit, I have found no signs of a Company M. On top of that I have not found an order of battle with the 7th Kentucky being listed as being at Stones River. Does anyone know where the 7th Kentucky fought at Stones River or a good source of information on this unit.
