You might also look in the public library in Louisville (since he is buried there), or ask someone to look for you. That library has Civil War records on (at least) KY Confederate soldiers as I have found records of family members who served in their microfilm files in the genealogy department. They could possibly have an obituary too which could supply some of the info you are looking for. (I'd volunteer but do not live there.)
