Surnames: Gore, Rushing, Pyle, Hendricks, Howell, Nichols, Robinson, York,
Dennis, Thanks for the reply. My James H Gore died 1888 so
I supposed he couldn't have died in the Civil War. His father was a J. (John) B.(Benford) Gore. The one you found could possibly be grandpa's father ( the dates I have on him is
abt. 1828 Hickman Co.,KY - 1899); buried in Caldwell Co.,KY.
Wish I could find more info on either of them. The internet is my only means of 'researching'. Thanks again...........Judy
