I have been told that my great-grandpa, James H Gore, died in the Civil War. The Texas Archives have no record of his death at the Texas level. Can someone help me out, or tell me where to check to find out where he died? He is buried in Kaufman Co.,TX in the Pyle Prairie Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Ann (Annie) PYLE.

I am trying to locate if Jonathan S England born in 1843 in Adair County Ky was in the 1st Kentucky Cavalry. I have been told he was in the 1st Kentucky Regiment Battery B. Yet all my searches have yielded nothing. His headstone list him as a civil war veteran though its very hard to read. I am trying to locate a roster or anything that will give me an idea where to go. Jonathan also went by John S England

Willing to share the headstone picture also

Thank you for any Help
Crystal
