Surnames: 3rd Michigan Cavalry, Company "M"
Looking for the "group" picture taken of our descendant, WILLIAM R. SWICK, b. NY est. 1828, d. April 1864, buried Chalmette Cemetery, New Orleans. His unit was the 3rd Michigan Cavalry, Co M.
I am not sure what those group pictures were called, but I know many CW units had a large poster-sized picture taken with each member's picture and the name of the unit on each.
