William McCombs was a young soldier who died at Camp Wood, near Munfordville, Kentucky, in the winter of 1862. I can't seem to find where he is buried, and even went to the National Archives to look at the regimental records. He died of typhoid in the first few days of January. Were soldiers with typhoid ever creamated? Anyone have any ideas on where he could be buried? Were soldiers ever buried at the camps?
