Kennedy & O'Brien

Jamie O'Brien  (View posts) Posted: 29 Jul 1999 12:00PM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: Kennedy, O'Brien, O'Brien, Warburton, McGillicuddy
My great-great aunt, Alice Kennedy, m. Thomas (Tom) O'Brien (this O'Brien is not related to me, as far as I know. Alice Kennedy is the sister of my g-grandmother, Margaret Gertrude Kennedy Walsh (who was born on May 30, 1875). These Kennedys were from the Haydenville/Williamsburg area of Massachusetts (Hampshire Co.). Alice's parents were Dominick (possibly aka Patrick) Kennedy (b. in Worcester MA) & Ellen Burke. Besides Margaret, Alice's other siblings were: Nora, Nellie (Ellen/Helen/Eleanor?), Mary (Mamie), Elizabeth (Lizzie) and there was a brother, thought to be named Robert, who did not survive childhood. This family eventually moved from MA to the Bridgeport CT area. Alice & Tom were living in Bridgeport CT at the time of my g-grandmother Margaret's death on March 20, 1950. Is there a connection?

Also, my grandfather, John Martin O'Brien, was born to John Patrick O'Brien & Margaret Warburton in Danbury CT on February 14, 1909. Margaret died when my grandfather was a child and John Patrick O'Brien was remarried to a McGillicuddy
