Hello, I just wanted to let you know how touched I was by your letter. I also own letters that my great grandfather wrote during the civil war, he fought for the union from Iowa....he was lucky enough to get home or I wouldn't be here....What your letter says so well is they were all just young men....Union, Confederate, just young men...I am sorry for your family's loss. He sounds like a very loving, intelligent man. Thank you for sharing this. Sandy McClay
