Civil War Mississippi Marine Brigade (1st MMB)

Surnames: Carnagey/Cornagey
Does anyone know anything about this brigade? I have found that technically they are know as a US Volunteer group rather than a state group but I can find nothing out about a possible relative in this group William Carnagey. If you know where I can find any records I would appreciate it.
