Eagle Pin (possibily military) -- need help identifying

If anyone has ever seen a pin shaped like an upside down "rounded" triangle with an embossed eagle on it, could you email me? I have come across one in some family "treasures" and I can't identify it as Civil War or WWI (maybe). Or if there is a link to a site that I can go and study what pins (if any) were used on CSA uniforms, I would appreciate it. My email is vernaws@aol.com. Thanks! Verna
