John Tice Navy U.S.S. Shark 1846
A John Tice came on the U.S.S. Shark to Oregon in 1846, and was wanted along with 5 other men for abandoning their contract and their was a reward for them. The John Tice I'm looking for arrived in Oregon July 16, 1846, lived in Marion Co.( from 1847-1860's) then Union Co.( died Nov. 1869), Oregon. I read that a lot of the military men at that time went from Marion Co. to Union Co., Oregon. All I have is census info. and land grant info. on him. Would like to know if there is any lists of names for the Navy, or Army for 1846-1869 for Oregon, and if there is does it give parents names. Would also like to know if anybody has info. on names of military cemetarys in Marion Co. or Union Co. Oregon. Any info. would be very much appreciated! Thankyou! Angela
