This board is created to locate information on the Pennsylvania 62nd Volunteer regiment. It was created in Pittsburgh by Samuel W. Black and included companies from surrounding counties. They were mustered in on July 4th, 1861 and mustered out in 1864. This regiment served in the Army of the Potomac and was top notch in drilling and very active in most battles that the Army of the Potomac participated in.

We have a website dedicated to the PA 62nd at http://www.pa62nd.com. This site, in addition to regimental history includes bios on the men in the regiment. We add all documented information on these men that we can find. Each and every one of them needs to be remembered!

Please help us accomplish this, any information or direction would be much appreciated.
