I am looking for any information available on James Blain. Information relating to his life, family, descendants or what ever will help me find out where he is buried. All I have at present is James Blain was born in Sydney, Australia. His residence was not listed but he enlisted as a Private on 3/17/1862. On 3/17/1862 he mustered into "E" Co. Pennsylvania’s 95th Infantry, was wounded at Cold Harbor, Virginia on 6/10/1864, had an Intra Regimental Company Transfer on 11/2/1864, from company E to company D. and was discharged on 12/31/1864. Another source, however, states he enlisted as a Private on 3/17/1862, mustered into "D" Co. Pennsylvania’s 95th Infantry, was discharged for disability on 12/31/1864, was a Member of the Grand Army of the Republic, Post # 26 in Roxbury, Massachusetts and died on 6/5/1909. Any help will be appreciated. I want to add him to the Memorial Website www.acwv.info.
