John Williams - Civil War Veteran

I am trying to acquire any information available on John Williams an Australian born Civil War veteran; relating to his life, family, descendants and especially where he is buried. All I have is that John Williams was born in Australia. His residence was not listed, but he enlisted as a Private on 12/20/1864 and mustered as a substitute into "G" Co. Pennsylvania 45th Infantry. He deserted on 6/2/1865. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as I want to add him to the Memorial Website www.acwv.info.
