Hello,
I'm researching Company D, of the 55th North Carolina Infantry for our family history. Does anyone know of any books (especially primary sources) written about this unit? I did find a couple references on the Internet and I have the unit's history from the NARA (as well as my Great Great Great Grandfather's war record. I was hoping to find someone who might have written a research text or something on the order of "Killer Angels".
Also, does anyone know of a re-enactor group portraying this unit? Our group re-enacts the "Tom Green Rifles" (4th Texas). Please contact me if you can help...I would be very appreciative of any assistance.
