Hello, I recently wrote a book about the 55th North Carolina. Its being published by McFarland & Company titled The 55th North Carolina in the Civil War: A History and Roster, and is coming out at the end of May. The regiment served in Lee's army from May 1863 to Appomattox, and were one of the first units on the field at Gettysburg and participated in Pickett's Charge, where it is said three members went farther than any other CSA soldier.
