I am looking for more information about an ancestor of mine that was in the civil war his name is Buford R white (Beaufort R. White)he was in the 12 South Carolina Infantry, the Confederate side and in Company K. He was born 05 Feb 1839 in Oconee County,SC, and died 23 Mar 1901 in Piedmont, SC. He enlisted at Walhalla, S.C.on April 14,1862. He was a POW and was paroled at Appomattox Court House, Va. on April 9, 1865. Anymore information about this man would be great. I am looking more into his civil war years but anything. thank you
