Hale, Howell P. 1839. Present on rolls from 3/1/62 to 6/63. Appointed 3rd Sgt. on 3/5/63. Rolls of 7/63 to 4/5/64 list him as absent since 8/7/63 on detached service. Paid 93$ on 2/2/64 at Eufaula, Al. for extra duty. Wounded near Atlanta, Ga. in summer of 64 he was discharged on 1/23/65. Mentioned in several letters of J. M. Watson. Died 2/28/1886 in Rusk Co., Texas. Widow Pension #16381 from 8/31/1909 in Rusk Co. Rusk County History, pgs. 221-222.
