This is all I know about this unit. Would appreciate any other information.

Joseph E. Johnson, Captain
Commanding Greenville Rifles
W. M. Strom Company Clerk
John F. Adkisson, Leader 4th Infantry Band (home: Blooming Grove, Texas
B. C. Powell, Notary Public, Commission Expired December 24, 1901

I have a copy of an Affidavit of J. F. Adkisson in reference to loss of Quartermaster's Supplies. At the top of the form "No. 65" is written in and the printed form shows THE STATE OF TEXAS; however, Texas has been crossed out and Arkansas written in; County of Quachita. This Affidavit was executed October 22, 1901. What would the TVG be doing in Arkansas?

I have a copy of the Oath signed by John F. Adkisson on January 15, 1900, joining the Greenville Rifles, Texas Volunteer Guard.
