Martin luther conder was my ggrandfather, his daughter, sophronia conder married my grandfather thomas j. lee. they had five children before her death.
I have a copy of martin luther's applacation for a pension and he stated that after being captured a second time at raymond ms. he escaped and " just went home". I have a book holding the line, the memoir,s of major favel c. barber, he kept a daily roster. he has four of the conder brothers on his roster. G.H. Conder, escaped and deserted june 1863. J.W. Conder wounded at raymond and died at jackson ms (i asume he is buried trere)
M.L.Conder escaped at raymond and went home, martin stated that the union army had him working in a hospital as a ordely. W.J.Conder also deserted at jackson ms. they are having a reinactment at raymond sone time in march and i plan to attend.I have some census records on the conders. if you happen upon any info i would appreicate hearing from you.
