I am looking for any information on my great-great-grandfather Capt. George T. Maddox. Capt. Maddox served the Confederacy from the start of the war up to the end, and is buried in either Ft. Smith, Little Rock, or Van Buren. There was a confederate marker on his grave in the 1940's. I have a book he wrote about the war and his experiences. His daughter, Effie Maddox, married William Iyler McElwee. thanks for any help you can offer. I am trying to find his regiment service records for my admission to SCV.
