i too found he was a private going in and coming out. john mullins does referance some people in the letter that might help. he mentioned that he recieved the clothes his mother sent by cousin frank. im assuming they might have been stationed close by if not together. he also talks about an aunt but it is hard to decipher her name. it looks like it says aunt muscadine. john also talking about drawing money and sending it home soon. not only his money but henry and william's money too. there was a henry mullins in companay f that went in as a private and came out as a private too. i'm not finding a william mullins though. he also references a william hillhouse and that he is asking john's mother to tell his mother he is doing well. again i'm assuming that they must have come from the same area.
i dont know if any of this helps. i sure hope so. thanks for all of your help.
