I am trying to locate information on Jesse L Brewer, Town of Butler, Taylor County Georgia. According to my family bible, he was killed in the service of the CSA on October 5th 1861(early in the war). He is buried in Butler, Next to his brother James, killed at yorktown in Dec 1861, and my GG grandfather Lt. Col. Septimus brewer. His grave reflects CSA service, but I am unable to locate a muster roll with his name on it. I have checked the rolls for the units from Butler and he is not there.

I would like to solve this mystery, and gain recognition from the UDC for his service. Any help would be appreciated. I have found several Jesse Brewer's and some J L brewer's, but they were all alive past 1862.. Thanks Dave Brewer Crossville TN
