William Walker 1855 Invasion of Nicaragua

Surnames: Walker Crittenden
I have been reading about the Crittenden family of VA and KY, with many members who served in military and political positions. Robert Crittenden is said to have died in Nicaragua in 1855 at age 25, but I cannot find a statement that explains his presence there. I am wondering how to discover if he was one of Walker's mercenaries. Is there a roster of the 58 "Immortals"?
