If so, I have found no records that her 2nd husband Lorenzo John Griffith was a veteran.  &lt;br&gt;Perhaps her 1st husband or her father were veterans?</description>

      <description>James Aliason Stoddard, Rank: Corporal. Enlisted 1861. Served Company B, 8th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment.  Wounded at the Battle of Red River, Calhoun Plantation. Took part in the Vicksburg, Ms. campaign commanded by  General U.S. Grant. Mr. Stoddard born at Parmelia, New York.  Buried at Omak, Washington in abandon cemetery named, Sand Flats Cemetery, 1.2 miles east of Wal-Mart Store. Headstones are missing from the grave of Mr. Stoddard and his wife.  Mr. Stoddard was a friend of Ben Ross founder of Omak, Wa.  Mr. Stoddard's son served on the first city council of Omak, Washington State.  Mr. Stoddard mustered out of service Sept 1865 on a pension for wounds.</description>

      <description>Frank Read (or Reed), Drummer at age 14, Served Company D, 117th New York Infantry, enlisted 1863. CWSS web site has his last name spelled as, Reed.  The drum he used was also used in the Revoluntionary War by his great grandfather, Mr. W. C. Bunce.  Photo's of Mr. Read and the drum can be found on the WSU web site and at the Okanogan Museum.  The drum was also used in the War of 1812 by his great grandfather, James Read a Baptist Minister from New York State.</description>
