Hans, aka, "Lone Star" who was a scout for MacKenzie, Crook, Miles, Sheridan and others during the plains Indian wars of the 1870s and '80s. Fred Hans also participated in the slaughter at Wounded Knee. Are there any official records available or websites to verify his service ?
