Is it possible to locate an ex-Marine if you don't know where he was stationed?

Being an ex-Navy Hospital Corpsman (Medic) and having worked with many Marines while in the service, it is more than likely he was stationed at one of two Marine Corps Bases. The first is in Jacksonille NC (Camp Lejune) and the second is in California (Camp Pendleton). There is also Twenty Nine Palms also in California. I would check there for starters.
