Genevieve Elmore, age 89, of Munroe Falls, Ohio passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Gardens of Western Reserve.
Genevieve was born October 27, 1922 in Akron, Ohio to the late Herman and Anna Mary (Hitch) Stoltz.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in World War II.
Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Barbara Elmore of Munroe Falls, and Janice Elmore of Clayton, N.C.; her son, Paul Elmore of Olympia, Washington; two grandchildren, Laura Limosana, and Michael Limosana; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Jeanne Stoltz; several nieces and nephew. She is also survived by the many foster children she cared for over the years.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmore and brother, George Stoltz.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1900 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to Mass at church.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Silver Springs Cemetery in Stow, with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name tothe Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W. Market St. Suite 301, Akron, Ohio
to share condolences.
