Thanks for replying..It looks like they may have been on the St Mary the same time...I have a letter Dated April 24, 1944...Dad was 6'2" from Tennessee, blonde, and I think he was a gunner assistant...He talked about polishing and cleaning the guns..He was in the Phillipines..also. Coleman Smith..he would have been 20 in April 1944.. What did you Dad look like and how old..
