Hi!
Thank you for your reply, I do not know how to access your e-mail address so I hope you receive this.

Last year I did a request for the SF-180 through eVetRecs and I finally received from them a Certification of Military Service, and a letter saying that they didn't have any other information due to a fire in 1974.

The cert. is how we got his service number. No clue what it means. It also says he was a Private First Class...

Last week I mail out the SF-180 requesting undeleted records, replacement medals if he received any and a request for his Cold War Recognition Certificate.

I figured maybe if I tried by mail someone would be able to find something on him.

We know he joined 9/25/1946 and was honorably discharged 7/26/1947 he was Born 9/20/1918 so he was 28 when he joined. We don't know if he was drafted. We have no clue what he did for the Army, where he went just that it was for a short time. We don't even know if he fought in a war. He was a railroad engineer before and after the Army.

If you have any other idea's on how to find out any information on him please please please let me know!
