Born on February 19, 1950, Rick spent his early years in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Even at an early age, Ricky made it a point to live life to the fullest.
He'd push the envelope on any rule he was given, but always look back with a grin, as if to say that life is too short to always play by the rules. Unfortunately, life is too short. Ricky was taken from us on April 19th, 2010 when he passed away peacefully in his home in Saginaw, Michigan.
While he tried to keep his fears to himself, he often struggled in his latter years with the many dark memories he carried with him since his days as a medevac helicopter pilot flying soldiers to safety in the Vietnam War.
Still, Ricky would put on a smile and lend a helping hand to those in need. This side of him is what he'd want us all to remember.
He spent almost half his life married to Deborah Curylo and resided in Toledo,Ohio where they raised two sons. "Ricky B" became a common name in the auto industry around Toledo, as he made friends with almost everyone he met.
Ricky enjoyed sales, management, buying/selling at auctions and even LOVED doing radio commercials for dealerships around the region.
Rick is survived by Deborah; his sons Chris and David; his daughter, Amy (Greg) Hannewald of the Detroit, Michigan area, and also by his parents, siblings and countless family and friends.
A memorial service will take place this summer. If you would like to attend, please send your contact info (or a favorite memory) to: RickyBmemorial@gmail.com
His family will contact you with the date/time and hopes that you can attend.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a college fund for Ricky's youngest son, David. Contributions can be sent to Chris Braunreuther, PO Box 4154, Dublin, OH 43016.
