Thank you so much for the information. I think not sure, but the Isaac King who deserted a lot was probably the son of Constant King UE of Augusta (he left Augusta after 1810 and was in Etobicoke in 1821, settling in York twp for a while before moving to Haldimand) He married Elizabeth Middaugh, daughter of Martin Middaugh of Osnabruck, UE. I think the private Martin Middaugh could be son of Martin Middaugh, the old one would be a bit old for war service in 1812. Old Martin Middaugh UE died in Trafalgar, not sure where. Some of the disaffected King could be brothers of Isaac King, and not from same family as George King.

I have not seen a lot on the family of Constant King UE. BUt Martin Middaugh has been researched a bit.

I have some sources for this information. Not sure if it is of interest to you or not.
