Surnames: Cummings, Merrill, Lotrip, Buell, Black, Bishop, Robeson, Rood, Rude, Barton, Mclean, Raven, Dumesnil, Sieh, Schwarting
For whatever reason they are lost, but there are census substitutes, such as tax lists. the land lottery, for 1803, 1806, 1819.. In 1790 there were only eleven counties, with about 70% of the state being Indian land. Some of these counties had areas that were enumerated in the Counties of bordering states. You could throw in the 1812-1815 war of 1812 as another resource.
