I have been looking for more information on a Captain John Moody. I know he is on a list of the 7th Regiment, 5th. Company, Detached from the Iredell Regiment in North Carolina. I am trying to find out what Moody family he is from. He had a William Looper that served under him that resided near my John Moody in Tennessee after the war. I do not beleive that the Captain was my John, but he may be related. Thank you for any help or leads.
