OK, I finally got to spend a day at the East Bank Regional Library in Metairie, and went through the Rosters of Tennessee Volunteers and Militia at the Battle of New Orleans, with a fine-toothed comb (4600 men listed). I have some results, but I need to discuss/explain everything in some detail. I don't know if I should do something of that length in this forum.
