Sorry I can't help you with Smith Purdy's death info but I recently acquired a tune book published between 1801 and 1830 with a Smith Purdy's signature in the front. The book was also at one time signed by a Rachel Clark, a Tammy Clark and an Eveline Clark. The book, titled "The Easy Instructor" was popular in the North East in the early 1800s. Any info you might have on who the book's owner might have been would be appreciated.
