Glad to help! If he made a claim, then there should be a pension record and, as I said, it should include all of his service record, plus any supporting documents he (or a widow or child claiming) would have had to submit. I'm sorry I didn't get my GG grandfather's (I'll have to send for it now separately) simply because one of my questions is when and where he married! His wife, my GG grandmother, was, I suspect, his second wife as she was a good deal younger, and though he was from NY and she was from Vermont, I suspect they met and married in Ohio, but don't know.
