I am working on a non-profit project to document the 16th Division Pa Militia During the War of 1812. This includes the present Counties of Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Venango, Warren, Lawrence, parts of Forrest and Clarion Counties.
I'm also documenting the men who enlisted in the Regular U.S. Army from this area.
I am seraching for letters, diaries, newspaper articles from 1812-1815, statements from Pension & Bounty Land records that will help tell the story in the soldiers words.
Any help in this area would be appreciated.
