War of 1812 - 1814

My 3x's great grandfather, David Koon (Kuhn),was mustered into the military on May 12, 1812. He served as a private in the 89th Regiment, 1st Brigade, 11th Division, (Mifflin, Huntingdon & Centre Counties). He was born 10 Jan 1770, in Lancaster County, married in Franklin County and then, in 1800, moved with his wife to Centre County, where he lived, raised his family, and died circa 1830. I'm interested in learning something about any military campaigns in which he may have served during the War of 1812; or any assistance in researching military campaigns for the unit in which he served.
