Research where she lived during the war 1940 to 1949. Look at city directories to see if she is listed with occupation. Try the SSA to see if her employment history of her SSN is available to order copies of as well as her application. She may have gotten her SSN to work during the war and her pending occupation and company name maybe listed as well as her address. You cite the FOIA in your request and having her SSN would greatly help.
If she did not have a SSN till she was "retired" (after WWII) or had her husband's SSN with a "B" after it, given her to get widow's benefits then she didn't work outside the home prior to those times.

Your local library may have subscription sites that have historical city directories. I know Ancestry does. Also check out your local LDS Family History Center and their website FamilySearch.org
