WW2 Military Medal Frederick Henry Salter Hampshire Regiment
Can anyone help me find the citation for the military medal awarded to Frederick Henry Salter, of the Hampshire Regiment (2 Battalion) in World War 2? The award is listed in the London Gazette of 14/2/1946, and I have his military records, but there is no mention on the medal card as to why he was awarded the medal. Is looking at the war diaries the only way, and if so, how do I go about this?
