My great-uncle served in WW2. His headstone says- Indiana Tech 4 818 Engr Bn Avn. I think I know what it means but not for sure. My grandmother said he built bridges. Would anyone know what unit he would be attached to? His enlistment city was Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis.
