I looked on the World War II Memorial website (wwiimemorial.com) and there is a Albert B. Forrester who served in the Marine Corps. Here's what the site has listed for him:
NARA - Navy Department Files
Sgt. Major Albert B. Forrester
U.S. Marine Corps
Hometown: Providence, Rhode Island
Status: KIA
I believe that status code means "killed in action."
