My grandfather (Paul McCalla) told me that while he was in Italy/Africa he was wounded (got the purple heart) and had to go to a hospital but his belongings were left behind. He said one of his friends promised to mail everything back to him- but this guy never did. My grandfather said there were letters/photos, a journal/bible, attire etc. email me with any info.
