Anyone have any information on the wreck of the tanker "Illinois" off the Alaskan coast... Morris Reef in Chatham Sound... in November of 1945?
It was carrying aviation gas from Shell Oil Co. with a crew of 38 men under the command of Capt. Ralph L. Kuhn, registered out of Wilmington, Delaware.

My grandfather, Frank Grim, was part of that crew and did survive but is no longer with us.
I'm curious if anyone else has an ancestor who survived and may have more information.

Thanks!
