My dad served aboard this ship during World War 2. I don't know anything about the ship but would like to get a photo if possible. I've tried the Merchant Marine web site, no luck there. My dad was in the Merchant Marines 1943-1947, and quit when they went on strike in New York,New York. He said after a couple of weeks of walking a picket line he decided to quit and hitch hiked home to Brewster, WA. His name was Eugene Dale McConnell. He always went by Dale. He died in 2003 and is buried in the family plot at Beaver Creek (Silver) Cemetery south of Twisp,WA. Okanogan County. Thank you in advance for any information.
