SUN CITY WEST, AZ: Anna J. "Det" Dorsey, 99, of Sun City West, Arizona passed peacefully on October 24, 2012.

She was born May 18, 1913 to the late Thomas E. and Anna R. Dorsey.
Anna spent her early years in the Norwalk, Ohio area and was a 1931 graduate of St. Paul High School.
As an Army Nurse during WWII she served in England during the blitz and later served in the Air Force.
She was stationed in Japan and throughout the United States before retiring as a Major.

Always a caring and compassionate person Anna touched the lives of many and will be missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her longtime friend, Patricia Chalcraft of Sun City West, AZ; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Vincent and Thomas; sisters, Francis, Jewetta, Bernadine, Rose (Sr. Mary Lauren SND) and Bernice (Sr. Mary Magdelida SND).

Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 31st from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow with military rites at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
